Background information
The financial disclosure scheme seeks to ensure that the public is aware of major sources of party and candidate funding.
It requires election period and annual returns to be lodged by participants in the political process.

This election returns database contains scanned PDF copies of substantive election returns lodged with the AEC. Facilities are available to search for returns by election year, party or by state. The majority of candidate returns are 'nil' returns. These returns are listed on this website but PDF copies are not available.
Media Returns are no longer required following legislative changes in 2006.

database the definitive information is that contained on the returns. Any information
obtained through interrogating the database should be confirmed with the copies
of the original Returns (PDF files).
